Cherry Citrus: Product Spotlight
Cherry Citrus is one of our excellent outdoor varieties available from Superior Hemp Clones. It offers many benefits, including strong aroma and high CBD content. We recommend this cultivar to any industrial hemp farmer who wants to grow plants for smokeable flower or CBD oil. Let’s go over some of the highlights of Cherry Citrus.
Strong Aroma
Cherry Citrus offers a stronger aroma than the Cherry Cherry variety while maintaining the high CBD content. Earthy and hoppy aroma accompanies lavender in a medium-sized dense cola.
High CBD Levels
Cherry Citrus offers a CBD:THC ratio of 28:1. It has consistent CBD yields of up to 12% and up to 20% in Delta-9 states. While not as high as some varieties, Cherry Citrus accompanies its good CBD levels with depth and nuance in flavor and aroma.
Unique Flavor and Terpene Profile
This plant offers moderately sized, dense colas with a unique terpene profile and colored hairs that develop as the trichomes mature. Aromas of hops, earthiness, lavender, grape, and berry bring nuance and depth to this plant as a smokeable flower. Cherry Citrus’s terpene profile includes Pinene, which has anti-inflammatory, anti-microbial, and mood boosting benefits; β-Caryophyllene, which has anti-microbial, anti-bacterial, anti-inflammatory, and antioxidant properties; Limonene, which helps dilate bronchial tubes; Humulene, which has anti-inflammatory and anti-bacterial properties; Ocimene, which is anti-inflammatory and may have properties that combat type 2 diabetes and hypertension; and Linalool, which is used to combat anxiety and stressed and has applications as an anti-convulsant.
Diverse
While Cherry Cherry is often grown for extraction because of its high CBD levels, Cherry Citrus offers similarly high CBD content but is suited to a wider variety of end uses. While its 28:1 CBD:THC ratio makes it a great option for CBD oil extraction, its unique flavor and aroma make for a good smokeable flower.
Outdoor Production
Cherry Citrus is a wide grower best produced outdoors planted 5-6 feet on center. A pH of 6.2-6.7 is ideal with an NPK ratio of 3:1:2 during the vegatative stage and 1:3:4 during the flowering stage until about two weeks before harvest.
This variety offers nuanced flavor and aroma, high CBD content, and is well-suited for smokeable flower or oil extraction!
